PHP6-M Fake Lee jeans seized

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) seized counterfeit Lee and Warner Bros. T-shirts worth PHP 6 million during simultaneous raids conducted in Valenzuela City, the bureau reported yesterday.

Raided were the stockroom and factory of Platinum Integrated Philippines corp. and and/or Victor Lee and/or Angela Lee located at 5 Pio Valenzuela Street, Marulas, Valenzuela City and at 246 McArthur Highway, Karuhatan, also in Valenzuela City.

Operatives of the Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) headed by Regional Director lawyer Elfren Meneses conducted the raids last May 16.

Seized from the two establishments were 13,693 counterfeit Lee and Warner Bros T-shirts.

OSI Philippines was formed in 2001 by Jeff Williams, who is Board Certified in Security Management by the American Society for Industrial Security International.

Mr. Williams has over 40 years of combined worldwide investigative and security consulting experience, with over 25 years working Philippine-wide as a Special Agent and Counterintelligence Officer with the USAF Office of Special Investigations (OSI), U.S. Embassy, Manila; and then as the Country Manager for Pinkerton Consulting Services, Philippines.
