P6.5 Million Fake Lee products seized.
Agents of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) seized counterfeit Lee T-shirts, jeans and shorts pants worth P6.5 million during simultaneous raids conducted in Cebu city, the other day.
The NBI agents, Led by Regional Director Lawyer Luigi Delemos of NBI-Cebu, Raided the sales outlet of Lupin Marketing, Hongkong Trading, HY Trading located along Borromeo Street. and Happy Mart on Colon Street, all in Cebu City.
Seized from all four establishments were an estimated 3,000 Counterfeit Lee Products.
NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) agents, headed by Special Investigator Isagani G. Illescas Jr., Put the establishment under surveillance and conducted test buys to confirm the evidence gathered through Orion Support Incorporated (OSI) a market research firm representing the Intellectual Property Rights of HD Lee Company, Inc.
OSI and NBI simultaneously conducted several investigative activities to determine the establishment’ illicit activities.
After obtaining search warrants from Judge Reynaldo C. Ros of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 33, the raids were conducted.
