P2M worth of fake Lee pants seized in Pasay raids
Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) seized 1,211 pairs of counterfeit Lee jeans worth P2 million during raids in Pasay City Tuesday.
The NBI-IPRD agents raided establishments owned and operated by a certain Jacky Sy alias “Shia Shao Yu”.
These are located at Stall 1B-34, Ground Floor, New Galleria Baclaran Shopping Mall, Taft Avenue Extension, Pasay City, and two stockrooms at a Unnumbered Unit, Second Floor, New Galleria Baclaran Shopping Mall, and at Unnumbered Unit, Third Floor, E Tower, No. 142 Cuneta Avenue, Pasay City.
The NBI obtained the search warrants from Judge Lyliha L. Abella-Aquino of Manila Regional Trial Court, Branch 24.
Charges of Trademark Infringement under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or Republic Act 8293 are being prepared against the owners of the raided establishments. – PNA
