The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided a contractor company’s offices in ParañaqueCity and Nueva Ecija for allegedly installing unlicensed Microsoft and Autocad.The NBI also confiscated the 40 computers from the offices of the China Geo Engineering Phil-Corporation on East Aguinaldo Boulevard, AsiaworldCity in Parañaque and San Jose, Nueva Ecija.

The company is reportedly a contractor and receives jobs to build and repair roads, irrigation canals and dams all over the country.

The NBI reportedly received information that the firm uses pirated copies of Microsoft and Autocad in their computers. After conducting a surveillance operation, they were able to secure a search warrant and raided the two offices.

A pirated copy of Microsoft and Autocad software costs P100 compared to the P250,000 for each original Autocad software program.
