Fake JanSport bags, other items seized in Bulacan raid

MANILA, June 30 (PNA) — Law enforcement authorities seized PHP 2.5 million worth of fake JanSport bags, labels and sewing machines during an operation in Bustos, Bulacan recently.

A statement Tuesday said that agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Central Luzon Regional Office seized 692 finished counterfeit JanSport bags, 553 unfinished counterfeit JanSport bags, 555 pieces of counterfeit JanSport labels and seven units of sewing machines during the recent operation in the area.

Raided were factories and residences of Remedios Lopez, 4D&E Enterprise and/or Dionisio Bunag and/or Evelyn Bunag, Juanito Rubio and/or Luzviminda Rubio and Dionisio Estarez all located in Bustos, Bulacan.

The NBI obtained the search warrants from Judge Rainelda H. Estacio-Montesa, Branch 46 of Regional Trial Court-Manila.

Charges of Trademark Infringement under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or Republic Act 8293 are being prepared against the owners of the raided establishments. (PNA) FFC/PFN
