Over 200 thousand pesos worth of counterfeit Microsoft software were confiscated in a raid conducted at one of the known havens of computer products, accessories and peripherals in Quezon City.

Last November 17, 2016, the National Bureau of Investigation-Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) raided Gaisano Interpace Computer Systems and/or Interpace Corporation located at Gilmore IT Center, Gilmore Avenue corner 1st Street, New Manila, Quezon City.  Seized from the establishment were 26 counterfeit Microsoft Win 10 PRO 64Bit System Builder.

Prior to the operation, the NBI and Orion Support Inc. (OSI), conducted monitoring activities and test buys to confirm evidence against Gaisano Interpace.

The raid stemmed from the information received from Microsoft Corporation that the store was selling counterfeit Microsoft Win 10 PRO 64Bit System Builder software.  The raid is also part of the aggressive campaign of Microsoft Corporation against illegal sale and distribution of counterfeit Microsoft software.

Charges of Copyright Infringement will be filed against the owner/s of the raided establishment.
